Our pixel systems use Windows personal computers running Madrix software Remotes can be tablets and phones
Designed for ease of setup and use, we chose software that utilizes tomorrow's protocols for control and today's established network cabling and connections. Our systems already come fully configured and generally all that is necessary is your particular choices in patches, layout and imaging. The following subjects deal with tweaking for those that would rather use their own computers:
01
Can I run Madrix on my own computer?

Certainly! The software downloadable from Madrix.com is the same we use. The keys that operate the hardware are supplied when the systems go out, so you can generate color patches, save playlists, generally anything up to identical patches. If you're familiar with setting up dmx addresses, then include that with your setups. Otherwise, that can be done almost instantly, once the hardware is connected and up. If you want the nuts and bolts: here's a link to the configuration for sACN in Madrix: http://help.madrix.com/index.html?hidd_esta___streaming_acn.html
Realistically, it's not really an entry-level program unless you want to simply press and run automatic cuelists or run the patches by hand, which is very easy to master. But it is an awesome program for creating visuals and add sound triggering to some specific controls and you have a live responding instrument.
02
Can I run my own software?

Our hardware is primarily based on DMX over Ethernet, which is the E1.31 protocol. It may take some slight configuring. They will operate with ArtNet too, it takes a simple adapter to change to ethernet. Not as easy as sACN but no biggie.
03
Can I input my own colors to the colortables?
Absolutely! Even though faders are right there onscreen for sweeping thru the red, green and blue channels, simply type in, replacing the numbers shown with yours. Our software is not CMYK driven so please gather your information accordingly. Just create most picture types in a windows folder and importing should be a snap.
04
Do I need to wire special power to operate the 6S products here?

Nope. Two Full panels or up to five Half Flats have remained manageable on a 100' 16-gauge extension. Thicker cable is better, but these pixels are driven at 5v so we've built in a skosh of elbow room on the power requirements. The panels will draw the most when white and bright colors are being shown.
05
Can I purchase 6S Products?

Nope. We want them all for ourselves.

I suppose we could let few go when we get ready. In the meantime, send a product request to 6SLEDPS@GMAIL.COM and we'll add your contact info to our private list of early birds.
